This picture of my dad was taken in 1962 at Fort Leonard Wood where he had just lost many pounds completing basic training in the hot and humid Missouri summer. Notice he is standing in front of his mom’s Mercury Medalist. The Merc was a 1956, the only year the entry-level Medalist was produced. Love you, Dad, and thank you for your service!
